Sterling Souvenir Spoon for S. F. Cliff House by A. F. Towle Rustic 1880
For sale is this very unusual sterling souvenir spoon by A. The pattern of the spoon is Rustic. Towle was absorbed into Rogers Lunt & Bowlen in 1902 and this pattern was also made by Lunt in silverplate in 1880. I’m not sure which came first, the sterling by A. Towle or the silverplate by Lunt. The gold washed bowl is engraved with a scene commemorating the Cliff House & Seal Rock in San Francisco. The spoon has the name “Berenice” engraved on the back of the handle. Please see the photos for more information including weight and size. Thank you for looking! My sterling items are all estate finds and the condition of each item varies based on what it experienced in its previous life. However, I do try to provide extremely detailed descriptions and photos so that you can judge the condition for yourself before purchasing.
