Antique Wallace & Sons sterling silver. 925, bright cut, scarce souvenir spoon, for the American aviator Charles Lindbergh & his flight in his Ryan NYP Spirit of St. Louis airplane from New York to Paris May 21, 1927, which is NOT monogrammed. I found an example of this spoon online in the Smithsonian National Air & Space Museum, King collection, & it states that their spoon is on display in the Boeing Aviation Hangar at the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center in Chantilly, VA. The spoon measures approximately 5 1/4 inches long, weighs. & is marked sterling along with the Wallace & Sons hallmark. The spoon is in very good antique estate condition. NO DENTS OR REPAIRS. THERE IS SOME SCRATCHING, WORN WASH, & WEAR CONSISTENT WITH THE AGE OF THE PIECE & NORMAL USAGE.
