This listing is for a great Sterling Silver souvenir spoon decorated with a standing figure of William Penn on handle and gilded bowl engraved with building and marked “The City Hall”. Spoon has a large standing double sides figure of William Penn with “1682, Philadelphia PA” in a ribbon below. On back of handle. Was established in Philadelphia PA in 1848. William Penn was the founder of PA and the City of Philadelphia. The figure on the spoon handle is a copy of the Calder statue of William Penn at City Hall. The spoon is in excellent Estate condition with no noted flaws other than some faint rubbing to the gilding on back of bowl from normal wear. We at Antiques & Moore.
