Solid Swedish Silver Laplander Cherub Spoon with Hall Marks
Solid Swedish Silver Laplander Cherub Spoon with Hall Marks. Presented is a beautiful Laplander Cherub or Angel spoon with a wide deep bowl with an engraved floral motif. This great piece appears to have possibly been a traveling spoon that may have consisted of a piece meant to attach the bowl to the shaped handle or at one time had a past repair attempted for reattachment of bowl. It is marked on the handle for silver made in Sweden for 830 fine silver with a makers mark of what I believe to be LB; please see pictures for closer detail of marks. American standard sterling silver is 925 fine so there is slightly less silver in this alloy. I have posted pictures of my research in the photos above.
