Antique Gorham Narragansett style 1885 No. 12 pattern sterling silver. 925 5 o’clock spoon, & IS souvenir engraved for Virginia Beach. This exquisitely detailed Aesthetic nautical marine design features a shell bowl with barnacles, & seaweed entwined handle, & shell, with detailed decor on both sides. These spoons are often described as Narragansett, but it is not of that pattern, but made at the same time period, & are hard to come by. The spoon measures approximately 5 1/8 inches long, weighs. & is marked with a number 12, older Gorham lion anchor G mark, & sterling. The spoon is in very good antique estate condition as follows. NO DENTS OR REPAIRS. THERE IS SOME LIGHT SCRATCHING & WEAR IS CONSISTENT WITH THE AGE OF THE PIECE & NORMAL USAGE. THERE IS GLARE & REFLECTION IN SOME OF THE 12 PHOTOS.
