Antique scarce Gorham 1892 sterling silver. 925, gold wash, figural American actress souvenir spoon of Agnes Booth. Agnes was married to the actor Junius Brutus Booth Jr, the brother of John Wilkes Booth, who was the assassin of President Abraham Lincoln. In 1892, Gorham issued a set of fifteen actress spoons for the Actor’s Fund Fair held that same year in New York City. Production was limited to 250 sets. Each spoon featured a dimensional bust of a famous stage actress & included a facsimile of her signature. The spoon is NOT monogrammed, is marked with the Gorham Lion Anchor G mark Sterling, measures approximately 4 3/8 inches long, & weighs. The spoon is in very good antique estate condition. NO DENTS OR REPAIRS. THERE IS SOME LIGHT SCRATCHING, WORN WASH & WEAR CONSISTENT WITH THE AGE OF THE PIECE & LIGHTER USAGE. THERE IS GLARE & REFLECTION IN SOME OF THE 12 PHOTOS.
